About Public Holidays in Việt Nam
Vietnam's holiday year is anchored by Tết Nguyên Đán, the Lunar New Year, which is far more than a public holiday: it is the country's greatest festival, when families reunite, debts are settled and the kitchen gods are honoured, often closing the country for a week.
