About Public Holidays in Seychelles
Seychelles, the Indian Ocean archipelago, celebrates a holiday calendar reflecting its Creole culture and religious heritage. National Day on June 18 marks the 1993 return to multi-party democracy, Independence Day on June 29 the 1976 break from Britain, and Constitution Day on June 26. The country's Creole Festival in October celebrates its distinctive language and culture, while Christmas, Easter and All Saints' Day anchor the Christian year. The Liberation Day on June 5 and Labour Day complete a June-heavy civic calendar.
In 2028, Seychelles observes 15 public holidays including 15 national, of which 4 fall on a weekend.
