About Public Holidays in Perú
Peru's holidays blend Catholic devotion with Andean traditions that reach back to the Incas. Independence Day on July 28-29 is the national centrepiece, while the Feast of the Lord of the Miracles in October and Inti Raymi, the Inca sun festival in Cusco, show the country's dual heritage.
